I've been experimenting with various tabletop setups. This latest was a suspended 18-inch ring light. It's a cheap one like maybe 100 bucks. But it worked pretty well for what I needed it to do. Camera S1H with a 50 mm Carl Zeiss Prime. I didn't hate it but not great. Have a new build coming soon- should be a better set up. Overall for messing around I think it worked out.

Needed something to shoot- so I made cornbread and there ain't nothing wrong with that!

Links will take you to a website to check out the gear. If you happen to like some of it and buy it. I may make a small commission. I have to tell you this.. It's the law..

So I ended up getting some new gear. I bit the bullet and ended up with the Panasonic S1H. This has been great so far. Its stabilizer is strong and steady. Performed amazingly while skiing down a mountainside. The ability to shoot in 6k is fantastic. I was able to shoot a one camera interview that allowed me to reframe as needed. The duel card slot with the ability to simultaneously roll video and taking pictures. Sending photos to one slot and video to the other. Or it can be set up as a duel recording setup.

Now the photo side of the camera I'm not as big of a fan of and if you are looking or a camera solely for pictures. This is not the camera for you. It takes great pictures don't get me wrong. The camera is more set up as a video camera so I strongly suggest using it as that style set up.

Check out the set up- It's not too pretty bad.
